Cyprien Batut

Cyprien Batut graduated from the Paris School of Economics and holds a PhD in Economics from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS). In academia, his research primarily focuses on French public policies related to the labor market. He has also worked on the economic impact of refugee reception, trade unions, and violence against women in the workplace.

Following his doctoral studies and before joining Institut Avant-garde, he joined the French Treasury Department (Direction Générale du Trésor) for three years—first as Deputy Head of the Social and Employment Policy Institutions and Evaluation Unit, and later as Economic Policy Advisor in the office of the Director General of the Treasury. In this role, he worked closely with the Chief Economist of the Treasury.
