Philipp Kriele-Orphal

Dr. Philipp Kriele-Orphal is an Associate at the law firm Redeker Sellner Dahs.

His research interests include the law and history of the European Monetary Union, public finance, central banking, budgetary law, constitutional law and theory, administrative law, and tax law. His publications include “Die Bereinigung um finanzielle Transaktionen in der Schuldenbremse – zur Bedeutung finanzpolitischer Konkretisierung zwischen Privatisierungsschranke und Investitionsklausel” (Yearbook of Public Finance, 2023), “Marktlogik ist Kein Rechtsgebot” (Verfassungsblog, 2022), and “Die demokratische Revisibilität von Fiskalregeln” (Schriften zum Öffentlichen Recht, Vol. 1560, 2025).

Philipp has worked at several leading law firms, including Clifford Chance, Freshfields, and Redeker Sellner Dahs. He completed his legal clerkship at the Berlin Court of Appeal with placements at the German Federal Chancellery and the Federal Constitutional Court.
