Jasper H. van Dijk is Research Lead at IPE, specialising in innovation policy and housing. In addition to his work at IPE, he is completing a PhD at Utrecht University, serves as a board member of DE/MO, and chairs the foundation Amsterdam heeft een Keuze.

After studying economics at the University of Amsterdam and Erasmus University Rotterdam, Jasper began his career at the Ministry of Finance as an economist and briefly as spokesperson for the Minister of Finance, focusing on fiscal policy. Following his time at the Ministry, he joined the Amsterdam office of McKinsey & Company. He later returned to academia as a researcher at Utrecht University, studying entrepreneurial ecosystems and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. He is currently in the final stages of completing his PhD.

In 2023, Jasper co-founded IPE. He has written extensively on fiscal policy, with particular attention to discussions on Dutch and European fiscal rules. Together with Matthijs Korevaar from the Erasmus School of Economics, he has published several papers on the Dutch housing market, with a special focus on the rental sector. His current research centres on innovation policy.
