Philipp Heimberger leads the macro research group at wiiw. He completed his habilitation in Economics (venia legendi) at Vienna University of Economics and Business, where he also obtained his PhD.
His main research interests are in macroeconomics, public finance, political economy, meta-analysis and meta-science. His work focuses on the macroeconomic implications of fiscal policy and fiscal rules, the political economy of public debt, the socio-economic impacts of economic globalisation and the process of knowledge creation in economics.
