The Potential of Public Banks in Financing the Transition

Romain Schweizer graduated from Université Paris-Dauphine and ENSAE. He completed a PhD on the integration of climate change-related risks by the financial sector under the supervision of Pr. Pierre-Noël Giraud (IPCC’s Second assessment Report Lead Author). Romain Schweizer also worked for three years at Crédit Agricole – Corporate and Investment Bank, where he contributed to implementing the ECB’s recommendations into climate-related country risk assessments. He then joined the economics department of France Stratégie to contribute to the drafting of the Pisani-Ferry & Mahfouz report, The Economic Implications of Climate Action.
He teaches the macroeconomics of the ecological transition in the Master’s program « International Economic Expertise » at Paris-Dauphine University. He has been a member of the Avant-garde Institute since September 2024.
